A “third place” is somewhere that many of us naturally seek out- a place between home and work where we can feel relaxed and comfortable, yet also connected to our community and the outside world. Crema Cafe is our definition of that third place.

My best friend since middle school, Marley, and her college roommate, Liza, started Crema Cafe two years after graduating from college. After spending time traveling around Europe together, the two realized their love and talent for tasting and creating unique recipes as well as the absence of a "third place" atmosphere coffee house in Harvard Square. They have more than exceeded their vision. Crema combines delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches with high quality coffee and in house baked treats that truly can not be beat. Looking for a snack, a meal, catering, or even a wedding cake? Crema can!

I worked the cash registrar for a couple weeks when they first opened and can vouch that Marley and Liza have put their heart and soul into every morsel of this cafe haven.

Personal favorites:

Breakfast: Egg sandwich ($3.35): home-made english muffin with (optional add ons): avocado, carmelized onions, tomato, and spinach. (I'm a fan of add-ons)

Lunch:
This is always a moment of crisis for me. Do I go with the Sweet Potato($6.95) avocado, green apple, sprouts, hummus & caramelized onions with shallot vinaigrette on toasted wheat or try something new?
Thai Peanut sandwich ($6.50): Spicy napa slaw, Thai peanut sauce, cucumber, fresh basil & crushed peanuts on a toasted baguette is another solid choice.
Meat eaters: Turkey & Jicama Slaw ($7.50):House roasted turkey with jicama slaw, avocado, bacon, ancho chili vinaigrette & mayo on a toasted homemade baguette
